THE WEEK

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

I confess to being a recovering news junkie. There were times when I watched CNN and MSNBC for days on end. There were also times when I would go for months without watching television at all. I sort of oscillated between these two extremes.

Ever since I found The Week, I now have it both ways. I get a healthy dose of news without ever turning on the box. I enjoy The Week for its brevity and broad scope. It gives me an overview of salient information and allows me to avoid the monotonous repetition of the cable news networks. I daresay I get more good information out of one hour each week reading The Week than I would from 20 hours of watching cable news.
