Mybase adds reminders

Saturday, October 23, 2004

I previously wrote a rather lengthy post on using Mybase for GTD.

Version 4.85 of Mybase has just been released, and there is now a new reminders feature that allows you to attach reminders to any item in the outline. The functionality is basic, but it should do the trick in allowing you to review due dates from items buried deep within your database.

I've just started to play around with MyBase and am wondering if you are still using it as part of your GTD system? If so, how have you tweaked it since last summer?

Dan, I've essentially moved to Ultra Recall for GTD. While UR doesn't have reminders, a lot of the other features, such as item types, saved searches, etc., help in implementing a more dynamic GTD system.

Here's an early GTD template for Ultra Recall.

MyBase and Ultra Recall are similar in a lot of ways, so I think you can implement a nice system in either application.
